Volunteer Opportunities

Provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, or make baked goods for our families. Meals must be prepared here at the House or prepared in a commercial kitchen. Groups, families, or individuals can volunteer to prepare a meal as a one-time event or on a scheduled basis.  More info

Family Room Volunteers extend the hospitality to visitors of the Ronald McDonald Family Room® at Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Medical Center. While upholding all Family Room and hospital policies, they help check in families, record data, keep the Family Room neat and tidy, serve as a warm and friendly face to families and assist them with resources.

Our Memorial Garden and houseplants need love too! Volunteer to plant, weed, rake or water to make the House an attractive place to stay for our families.

Bring cookies or treats. Make baskets or bags of treats with a holiday theme for our families. Decorate the House for the holiday or provide individual room decorations. It is even more difficult to be away from home during holidays. Your volunteer efforts and/or donations “with the holiday in mind” will go a long way towards easing the additional strain of our families having to be away from home over the holiday season.

Help keep the House spotless for our families. Our cleaning chores are inclusive of cleaning everything A to Z, top to bottom, inside and outside!

Help keep our outdoor play area clean and safe for the children of the families that stay here. Cleaning patio furniture, raking and adding mulch, washing the playground equipment or just let your inner child come out and play! A clean, safe play area is great for children and for their parents too!

Collecting pull tabs are a great way for children, schools, and other large groups to get involved in fundraising for the House. You can help support the Ronald McDonald House of Temple by collecting the little tabs you pull to open soda, soup or other aluminum cans. Let’s Get Started!
