Please consider making a donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Temple in support of Dr. Don “Hyde” Chaffer’s participation in Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge (HHMC) 2022.
HHMC is a national event organized by the Medicine Show LLC, hosting 200 riders from an international pool of the most elite long distance riders. Every other year for the past 20 years, riders have participated in this unforgiving 10,000 mile motorcycle ride across America. This is a tremendous honor for Dr. Chaffer to be chosen as rider #1002 in 2020 and again this year!
Dr. Chaffer is a long time member of the Boozefighters Motorcycle Club chapter in Belton, Texas. The Boozefighters have been huge supporters of the Ronald McDonald House of Temple for many years. All expenses and administrative fees for the ride have been covered so that 100% of all funds raised through this campaign go to the RMHC of Temple.
This year, the HHMC will send riders from Rapid City, South Dakota through some of the most beautiful and challenging areas of the continental United States. In 2020 this heart-pounding adventure took riders from Florida through the South, through much of Texas, into the desert southwest, several times over the Rocky Mountains, crossing the Mid-West, veering northeast to New England, and returning back down the East Coast to Florida. The winner of that event finished this grueling event in 9 days! In 2020 Dr. Chaffer was the first rider to ever attempt HHMC on a vintage motorcycle. He will again be riding his trusted road companion, a 1948 Harley Davidson Panhead.
Supporters, sponsors and donors of Ronald McDonald House of Temple are sure to enjoy following this entertaining ride while supporting the mission of RMHC-Temple.
Parents don’t know when their children will need medical help. But they should know they can always access the care they need. And with your help, we can support them all throughout their journey.
